Tonkatsu & Katsudon

– If you’re craving for some Japanese food and yet you cannot go out for some reason, why not make it at the comfort of your home. Join our Chef instructor as they will teach you tips and tricks on making your very own Tonkatsu and Katsudon.
You will need the following if you plan to participate in the class:
Requirements:
- Porkchop
- Salt and pepper
- MAYA All-Purpose Flour
- Potato Starch
- Panko Breadcrumbs
- Eggs
- Cabbage
- White onions
- Spring onions
- Dashi
- Soy sauce
- Mirin
- sugar
- toasted sesame seeds
- canned whole tomatoes
- Worcestershire sauce
- ketchup
- molasses
- garlic powder
- kosher salt, or to taste
Our Chef Instructor
Chef Dan Wilford B. Libunao is one of Maya Kitchen in-house Chef Instructor, a Food Technologist and a Culinary Arts graduate, he teaches our basic culinary certificate classes and some of our culinary lifestyle classes. He is also one of the recipe researchers for some of our Maya Cook Books.
