Culinary Elite Series: Chef Paolo Nesi of L'Opera Ristorante

Luciano Paolo Nesi, world-class restaurateur of Italian fine dining, a trained Sommelier (AIS-WSA), WSET Educator, and Managing Partner at  L’Opera Group, Inc. will be at the Maya Kitchen on March 28, 2015, Saturday 9:00AM to 1:00PM for this year’s first Culinary Elite Series demo and lunch experience.

Situated at The Fort Entertainment Complex 26th cor. 7th Ave. Bonifacio Global City, Taguig, L’Opera opened way back in 1994, and was created to be a place where one could find regional Tuscan cuisine at its best. L’Opera stands true to its name as the premier Italian establishment in Metro Manila, serving refined, but classic dishes in warm Italian style tradition.

L’Opera has become very popular among Filipinos and expatriate customers. The restaurant’s atmosphere is friendly and cozy and its menu is only a suggestion to the customer, without the usual telephone book menu. Many customers order what they have tried in Italy, or in other Italian restaurants around the world, and if the ingredients are available, they make the requested dishes. Chef Paolo Nesi’s dream is not to have a menu at all, similar to family restaurants in Italy.

L’opera Ristorante has been awarded by the “Ospitalita’ Italiana – Ristoranti Italiani nel Mondo” a worldwide project conceived by the Italian Republic’s institution Unioncamere with the support of IS.NA.R.T. and the Italian Chambers of Commerce abroad. Its main aim is to enhance authentic Italian restaurants abroad, ensuring compliance with quality standards typical of the world-renowned Italian hospitality. It is a project which recognizes real Italian restaurants and awards them with the “Golden Q”, the Ospitalita’ Italiana label of Quality.
