Sweetheart Decadence



1 pack MAYA Decadence Yellow Cake Mix 520g
1 pack strawberry-flavored gelatin (3-ounce)
3 pieces egg
1/3 cup vegetable oil
1 cup + 1 tablespoon water
2 cups frozen sliced strawberries, thawed and drained

1 cup butter, softened
3 ½ cups powdered sugar
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
red or pink candies (for decoration)


Heat the oven to 350ºF. Grease and flour two 8-inch baking pans, one round and one square. Add the gelatin to the Maya Decadence Yellow Cake Mix and then prepare the mix (with eggs, oil and water) as per package direction. Fold half of the strawberries into the batter. Set aside half for decorations. Pour the batter into the prepared pans and bake according to the package directions. Remove the cakes from the pans and allow them to cool completely on wire racks.

Prepare Frosting: Beat the butter, sugar, and vanilla extract until light and fluffy. Add the reserved strawberries and beat until well combined. Set aside. Cut the round cake in half and place the two semi-circles against two sides of the square to form 1 big heart. Spread on the frosting and decorate as desired.
