Ingredients

Bun:

  • 1 tablespoon yeast
  • ¼ cup water
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • ½ cup sugar
  • ½ cup milk
  • ¼ cup melted shortening
  • 2 pieces eggs
  • 3 ½ cup Maya All-Purpose Flour
    Prepared egg wash
    black & white sesame seeds

Burger Patty

  • 1 kilo ground lean beef
  • 1 kilo ground lean pork
  • 150 grams white onion, finely chopped
  • 2-3 teaspoons salt
  • 2 teaspoons ground black pepper
  • 1/3 cup yellow mustard
  • 1/3 cup spring onions, finely chopped
    cooked French fries
prepared slices of tomatoes, onions, pickles, and different cheeses (as needed)
    8-10 pieces fried bacon
    green lettuce
    tomato ketchup or mayonnaise
    yellow mustard

Instructions

  1. Prepare the burger bun by dissolving the yeast in water and letting it stand for 5 minutes.
  2. In a mixer bowl, combine salt, sugar, milk, shortening, and eggs. Add 1 ½ cups of flour and yeast mixture. Mix until thoroughly blended. Add the remaining flour and mix. Until the dough leaves the side of the bowl.
  3. Use the remaining flour for dusting hands and the table. Knead until smooth and elastic. Place the dough in a greased mixing bowl, cover with plastic wrap, and let rise for 30 minutes or until doubled.
  4. Punch the dough into one big ball and place it into a prepared 9 or 10-inch round baking pan. Rest for 15 minutes. Brush the top of the dough with egg wash and sprinkle with sesame seeds, then bake in a preheated 375°F oven for 20-25 minutes, or until golden brown. Remove from pan and cool.
  5. Prepare the burger patty: In a bowl, mix all the ingredients for making a patty. Make sure it is well blended and a bit tacky.
  6. Heat a flat griddle or 10-inch round sautéing pan with a little oil, press and form the meat patty, and cook until done.
  7. Remove or make a well at the top of the bun where you can place your cooked French fries. But you may assemble your burger as you like.
