Bun:

- ¼ cup water
- 1 teaspoon salt
- ½ cup sugar
- ½ cup milk
- ¼ cup melted shortening
- 2 pieces eggs
- 3 ½ cup Maya All-Purpose Flour
Prepared egg wash
black & white sesame seeds
Burger Patty
- 1 kilo ground lean beef
- 1 kilo ground lean pork
- 150 grams white onion, finely chopped
- 2-3 teaspoons salt
- 2 teaspoons ground black pepper
- 1/3 cup yellow mustard
- 1/3 cup spring onions, finely chopped
cooked French fries
prepared slices of tomatoes, onions, pickles, and different cheeses (as needed)
8-10 pieces fried bacon
green lettuce
tomato ketchup or mayonnaise
yellow mustard
Instructions
- Prepare the burger bun by dissolving the yeast in water and letting it stand for 5 minutes.
- In a mixer bowl, combine salt, sugar, milk, shortening, and eggs. Add 1 ½ cups of flour and yeast mixture. Mix until thoroughly blended. Add the remaining flour and mix. Until the dough leaves the side of the bowl.
- Use the remaining flour for dusting hands and the table. Knead until smooth and elastic. Place the dough in a greased mixing bowl, cover with plastic wrap, and let rise for 30 minutes or until doubled.
- Punch the dough into one big ball and place it into a prepared 9 or 10-inch round baking pan. Rest for 15 minutes. Brush the top of the dough with egg wash and sprinkle with sesame seeds, then bake in a preheated 375°F oven for 20-25 minutes, or until golden brown. Remove from pan and cool.
- Prepare the burger patty: In a bowl, mix all the ingredients for making a patty. Make sure it is well blended and a bit tacky.
- Heat a flat griddle or 10-inch round sautéing pan with a little oil, press and form the meat patty, and cook until done.
- Remove or make a well at the top of the bun where you can place your cooked French fries. But you may assemble your burger as you like.
