Magical Soda Can Cakes

INGREDIENTS

Cake

1. Mix Cola (1 can, 330 ml) + MAYA Decadence Devil’s Food Cake Mix 520g
Bake in: 9″ round pan
Bake for: 25 – 30 mins

2. Mix Lemon or Lime Soda (1 can, 330 ml) + MAYA Pancake and Baking Mix 300g
Bake in: 9″ round pan
Bake for: 25 – 30 mins

3. Orange Soda (1 can, 330 ml) + MAYA Decadence Fudge Brownie Mix 500g
Bake in: 9″ round pan
Bake for: 35 – 40 mins

PROCEDURE

Chocolate Ganache

1 cup whipping cream
1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips

  1. Put these two ingredients in a microwaveable container, heat for about 30 seconds.
  2. Remove from the microwave and stir to distribute the heat from the mixture.
  3. Return to microwave to heat for another 30-second to further melt the chocolates. Keep heating in 30-second intervals until the chocolate chips are completely dissolved. Let it cool.

For the Magical Soda Can Cake:

  1. Use a 3″ cookie cutter to crop three round mini cake pieces from the prepared cake.
  2. Spread chocolate ganache in between 3 mini cake layers. Cover the whole mini cake.
  3. Be creative and cover everything with different colors of store-bought fondant.

YIELD

Approximately 2 Magical Soda Can Cake for every mix.
