Maya Decadence Yellow Cake

  • 1 pack MAYA Decadence Yellow Cake Mix 520g
  • 1 cup water plus
  • 1 tablespoon water
  • 3 pieces eggs
  • 1/3 cup vegetable oil

Cream Cheese Frosting:

  • 1/2 cup butter
  • 2 bars cream cheese
  • 1 cup whipping cream
  • 4 cups confectioners’ sugar
  • edible gold dragees


Prepare Cake:

  1. Preheat oven to 350F/177C. Grease and line bottom of two 7-inch round pans. Set aside.
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine cake mix, water, eggs and oil. Beat by hand using a wire whisk until well-blended.
  3. Pour mixture into prepared pans and bake for 30 minutes or until toothpick inserted at the center comes out clean. Cool before frosting.

Prepare Cream Cheese Frosting:

  1. In a mixing bowl, cream butter and cream cheese.
  2. Add alternately whipping cream and confectioners’ sugar whip until fluffy.

To assemble:

  1. Spread a thick layer of frosting in between the cake layers. Spread another layer on top. Decorate as desired and garnish with edible gold dragees.
