Malungay Basil Pesto

  • 150 grams malunggay
  • 150 grams basil
  • 50 grams pine nuts or sunflower seeds
  • 180 grams oil
  • salt and pepper to taste
  • cooked pasta
  • 150 grams chicken thigh fillet


  1. Prepare pasta according to package directions. Set aside.
  2. Prepare pesto sauce. Combine malungay leaves, basil and pine nuts in the food processor. Drizzle with oil. Season to taste.
  3. In a hot pan, toss the pasta in pesto sauce. Add parmesan and season to taste.
  4. Top with nuts and grilled chicken.
