Green Tea Cupcake

Ingredients

Cupcake:

  • 1 cup MAYA All-Purpose Flour
  • 1 cup MAYA Cake Flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 2 tablespoons green tea powder
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 ¼ cups white sugar
  • 1 cup vegetable oil
  • 3 eggs
  • 1 ½ teaspoons vanilla
  • 1 cup plain yogurt

Frosting:

  • 1 ¼ cups confectioners’ sugar
  • 3 teaspoons green tea powder
  • 2 tablespoons butter softened
  • 1 package cream cheese softened
  • teaspoons milk
  • ½ teaspoon vanilla extract

Instructions

Prepare Cupcakes: Preheat oven to 350 °F (175 ° C). Grease and line the muffin tins with cupcake liners.

  1. Sift together all-purpose flour, cake flour, baking soda, green tea powder and salt. Set aside. In a large bowl, beat together white sugar, vegetable oil and eggs until smooth. Stir in the vanilla. Beat in the flour mixture alternately with the yogurt, mixing just until incorporated. Pour batter into prepared pans. Bake in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes, or until done.

Prepare Frosting: Sift together confectioners’ sugar and green tea powder. Set aside. In a medium bowl, combine butter, cream cheese, vanilla and milk. Add the tea mixture; mix until of spreadable consistency.
