Floral Cupcake

INGREDIENTS

1 pack Sharon’s Party Cupcake Mix 200g
4 tablespoons butter
2 pieces eggs
1?2 cup water

Frosting:
1?4 cup butter
1?4 cup shortening
3 1?2 – 4 cups confectioners’ sugar (approximately400g)
1?4 cup milk (60mL)
1?2 teaspoon vanilla
vanilla butter
blue food color (optional)
flower gumpaste (prepared)

PROCEDURE

  1. Preheat oven to 350 oF. Grease and line 12 holes 3 ounce muffin tin.

  2. In a mixing bowl, cream the butter until soft. Blend in the eggs and water. Add cake mix. Beat until mixture is smooth about 1-2 minutes or about 60-80 strokes using wooden spoon. Pour batter into muffin tin.

  3. Place cake pan on oven tray and bake in the preheated oven for 30-35 minutes. Cool and serve.

  4. To prepare Frosting: Mix butter and shortening together until well blended. Alternately add powdered sugar, milk and vanilla and mix until smooth. Tint with blue food color as desired. Set aside.

  5. To assemble: Frost cupcake with prepared colored frosting and design with prepared gumpaste sugar flowers and leaves.
