Chocolate Speculoos Mug Cake

 

CHOCOLATE SPECULOOS MUG CAKE

Ingredients

  • 2 packs MAYA Happy Mug Chocolate Cake Mix
  • 6 tablespoons water pinch of speculoos spice
  • ½ cup whipped cream
  • 1 tablespoon speculoos cookiebutter crunch spread
  • 2 pieces caramel syrup, fromthe packaging
  • 2 teaspoons speculoos cookie butter crunch spread crusheds peculoos cookies, as needed

Instructions

  1. Mix 2 packs of happy mug cake according to package instructions.

  2. Transfer the cake batter mixture into your favorite ceramic 15 oz. mug and microwave it for 2 minutes. Remove cup from the microwave, be careful cup will be hot. Cool and set aside.

  3. In a small bowl, mix together ¼ cup of whipped cream and spread until well blended then fold the rest of the whipped cream. Set aside.

  4. In another small bowl, combine the caramel syrup (included in the mug cake) and 2 teaspoons of speculoos cookie butter spread and mix together until well blended. Set aside.

  5. Pipe or dollop whipped cream on top of cake, drizzle caramel speculoos syrup on top of piped whipped cream then sprinkle some crushed speculoos cookies on top. Serve

Yield:
1 serving (using 1 mug cup 15 oz.)
 
Note:
• If you don’t’ have speculoos spice you may want to create your own speculoos spice blend by using the following spices cinnamon, nutmeg, cloves, ginger, cardamom, white pepper and ground anise.
