Cheesecake Swirl Brownies

  • 1/2 cup butter, melted
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 2 pieces egg
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • 1/3 cup cocoa powder
  • 1/2 cup MAYA All-Purpose Flour
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/2 cup chocolate chips

Cheesecake swirl:

  • 4 oz. (1/2 package) cream cheese, softened
  • 1 tablespoon butter
  • 1/4 cup sugar
  • 1 tablespoon MAYA All-Purpose Flour
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt


  1. Grease and line one 8-inch square pan.
  2. Stir together melted butter, sugar, eggs and vanilla.
  3. Sift dry ingredients together and add to butter mixture. Fold in chocolate chips. Set aside.

Cheesecake swirl:

  1. Process all ingredients in food processor and set aside or using a mixer, cream together the cream cheese, butter and sugar until very smooth. Add the rest of the ingredients and mix just until combined, taking care not to overmix.

To assemble:

  1. Spread about 2/3 brownie mixture in pan. Pour cream cheese mixture evenly. Spoon remaining batter over cream cheese mixture. Swirl using tip of knife. Bake until done, about 30 minutes. Cool in pan on a rack then refrigerate until firm. Slice as desired.
