1 pack MAYA Think Heart Whole Wheat Carrot CakeMix 230 grams
3 tablespoons vegetable oil
4 tablespoons water
1 cup grated carrot, loosely packed
Cream Cheese Frosting:
1 bar cream cheese, softened
¾ cup all purpose cream, chilled and whipped
¾ cup powdered sugar
1 teaspoon vanilla
dried fruits of your choice (optional),
nuts of your choice (optional)
transparent jars with lid / cover
Prepare cake: Preheat oven to 350°F/177°C. Grease and line the bottom and sides of a 9×5-inch rectangular pan. Combine all the ingredients in a bowl and beat with a wooden spoon until smooth. Pour into prepared pan and spread evenly. Bake for 30-35minutes or until toothpick inserted comes out clean. Set aside and let the cake cool. Once cooled, crumble using a food processor until fine.
Prepare frosting: In a bowl, beat the cream cheese and gradually add the sugar. Beat until smooth. Add vanilla and fold in the whipped cream. Fold in dried fruits and nuts.
To assemble: Stir ½ cup frosting into the cake crumbs. Press an amount of this mixture at the bottom of a clean jar. Pour frosting on top of this layer and top with dried fruits and nuts. Repeat this process until the jar is full. Cover tightly.
Step 1: Get an empty transparent jar to use.
Step 2: Fill up jar with 1st cake crumble layer.
Step 3: Add 1st layer of whipped cream.
Step 4: Add a layer of. dried fruits and nuts.
Step 5: Add 2nd layer of cake crumbles and whipped cream.
Step 6: Add 2nd layer of dried nuts and fruits.
Step 7: Add final layer of whipped cream before closing the lid.
Step 8: Decorate jar with a ribbon, or other materials you can find.
Step 9: Your Cake in a Jar is ready!
