Beer Battered Fish And Chips
Ingredients
Marinade:
- 3 pieces fresh sole fish fillet washed and cleaned
- 2 tablespoons lemon juice
- 2 tablespoons chopped dill
- salt and pepper
- MAYA All-Purpose Flour for dredging
Beer Batter Mixture:
- 1/2 cup MAYA All-Purpose Flour
- 1/2 cup MAYA Cornstarch
- 1/4 teaspoons baking powder
- 1/2 teaspoon Spanish paprika
- 1 teaspoon chili powder
- 1 tablespoon garlic powder
- 1 tablespoon onion powder
- 2 tablespoons chopped dill
- salt and pepper
- ¾ to 1 cup cold beer
- 3 to 4 pieces medium-size sweet potato thinly sliced and dried
Instructions

Cut fish fillet diagonally and slice it into 1-inch wide strips.

Marinate sliced fish with lemon juice, dill, salt, and pepper for 15 to 30 minutes.

Prepare beer batter mixture in a bowl. Mix flour, cornstarch, baking powder, paprika, chili powder, garlic powder, onion powder, dill, salt and pepper. Mix well, then add beer. Mix until well blended. Set aside.

Heat enough oil for deep frying in a pot over medium heat,

Drain marinade from the fish fillet, then dredge fish fillet in flour. Dip the dredged fillets into the beer batter mixture, then fry it right away over the preheated oil. Fry until golden brown. Transfer fried fish to a plate with paper towel to remove excess oil. Repeat procedure until all the fillets have been fried.

Using the same oil, deep fry dried sweet potato until crisp. Remove sweet potato chips, then season with salt.

Serve Fish and chips together with prepared dip of your choice.
