Apple Fritters


1 cup MAYA All-Purpose Flour
¼ cup sugar
½ teaspoon salt
1 ½ teaspoons baking powder
½ teaspoon cinnamon powder
½ cup beer
1 piece egg
1 cup chopped apples
¼ cup raisins
oil for deep frying
apricot jam


  1. Combine flour, sugar, salt, baking powder and cinnamon.
  2. Stir in beer and egg until just combined.
  3. Fold in apple until well mixed.
  4. Get a heaping teaspoon of the mixture and drop into the hot oil.
  5. Cook until golden brown or when the dough starts to float.
  6. Drain in paper towels to remove excess oil.
  7. Cool.
  8. Serve fritters with apricot jam on shooter glasses.
