Ninoy Hotcakes

INGREDIENTS

1 pack MAYA Original Hotcake Mix 250 grams 
1 medium-size egg
2 tablespoons oil
3/4 cup water

PROCEDURE

Follow package instructions in preparing the batter.

Transfer batter to a squeeze bottle and set aside 1/2 cup of the batter and add a few drops of black food gel. Mix until color is well-distributed. Transfer batter to a squeeze bottle.

Preheat griddle pan or you may use teflon pan. Take note to set it on low heat.

Draw “Ninoy’s eyeglasses” using the black batter. Draw a big circle outside Ninoy’s eyeglasses (this will be the basis of the actual pancake size. Fill in with the remaining batter the space between the glasses and the big circle.

Let it stand until bubbles appear. Flip and let it cook for 1 minute.

Serve with butter and syrup.
