Clueless in the kitchen? Not anymore! The Maya Kitchen’s “I Hate To Cook” cooking classes teach the kitchen clueless on how to prepare simple, healthy meals and how to manage their kitchen.
The course consists of three sessions, all held on Saturdays from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. on July 2, 9, and 16. The “I Hate To Cook” cooking classes tackle the basics, such as what you should stock in your pantry, to planning healthy and simply delicious meals.
Session 1 on July 2, introduces kitchen newbies to the basics. This is where you’ll learn the pantry essentials that are the foundation for any dish. Get to know the world of fresh convenience foods, which are so easy to prepare and are winners in nutritional value. Finally, learn how much meal planning can make your life as a new cook so much easier, whether you’re single or have a family to feed.
Session 2 on July 9 is a little more challenging. You’ll learn how to create a 5-course meal for a family of any size. Live alone? Now, you can have friends over and impress them with a home cooked meal you made from scratch.
Finally, session 3 will teach you how to deal with leftovers; novel ideas on how to turn last night’s meal into tomorrow’s new and tasty concoction. You’ll also learn how to maximize slow cookers and rice cookers. Slow cookers are a godsend for people who have so little time to prepare: add your ingredients, close the lid, turn on the heat, and confidently walk away knowing you can finish all your chores. Your reward? A hot and delicious meal! And you can find out how rice cookers aren’t just for cooking rice anymore. Find out by signing up!
