Baked Red Velvet Donuts

For the donuts:

  • 1 piece medium-sized egg
  • 1/2 cup buttermilk
  • 2 tablespoons melted butter
  • 1 pack MAYA Decadence Red Velvet Cake Mix 400g

For the glaze:

  • 1 cup confectioner’s sugar
  • 1/8 cup fresh milk
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract


  1. Preheat oven at 350⁰F/177⁰C. Grease and lightly flour a donut pan
  2. In a medium-sized bowl, mix eggs, melted butter, buttermilk and red velvet cake mix. Mix well, until there are no lumps.
  3. Place donut batter in a pastry bag and fill the prepared donut pan
  4. Bake for 7-9 minutes or until tops are set and dry.
  5. For the glaze: mix all ingredients in a small bowl, adding the milk gradually.
  6. Pipe or dip the donuts in glaze. Let it set for about 15 minutes. Serve.
