Preheat oven to 350 F.

Grease and line two cookies sheets.

In a bowl, mix flour, ginger, cinnamon, cloves, baking soda and salt. In a separate bowl, cream butter and sugar.

Add the egg, honey and vinegar.

Mix the flour mixture with the rest of the mixture until it forms a dough.

Wrap the dough in a plastic sheet and chill for 1 hour.

Roll the dough on a lightly floured surface to a 1/8 inch thickness.

Cut out assorted shapes and place on prepared cookies sheets.

Bake for 5-7 minutes or until done.

Decorate with fondant and royal icing.
