Strawberry topped desserts are a virtual must for Valentines’ and other sweet occasions. Fill ’em up with some Chocolate Hazelnut spread and your taste buds are bound for heaven. Light and airy but not too sweet, this cupcake recipe does not disappoint!

Strawberry Chocolate Hazelnut Cupcakes

Make these special Strawberry Chocolate treats for any special occasion.

Ingredients

Cupcakes:

  • 1 pack MAYA Celebrations by Sharon Party Cupcake Mix 200g
  • 2 tablespoons unsalted butter softened
  • ½ cup strawberry flavored milk
  • 1 piece egg

Icing:

  • 1 cup heavy whipping cream
  • ½ cup chocolate hazelnut spread
  • ½ cup strawberry jam
  • ½ cup chocolate hazelnut spread
  • heart shaped chocolate for garnish

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350F/177C. Place cupcake liners on a 3-ounce cupcake pan. Set aside.

  2. In a bowl, mix all cupcake ingredients until well blended. Scoop batter into prepared pan.

  3. Bake cupcakes for 15-18 minutes or until done. Set aside to cool.

  4. For the icing, whip cream until stiff peaks form, then divide into 2 bowls. Mix the chocolate hazelnut spread in one bowl until well combined, then do the same with strawberry jam in the other bowl.

  5. Fill a piping bag with a star tip with both icings, placing the chocolate hazelnut on one side of the bag, and the strawberry on the other to create two-toned icing. Set aside.

  6. Once cupcakes are cooled, core the cupcakes and then fill with chocolate hazelnut spread.

  7. Pipe icing onto cupcakes and top with garnish of your choice.
