A Magical Tour for Kids and Cool Foodie Hangouts for Teens at The Maya Kitchen

Things are heating up at The Maya Kitchen this summer for kids and teens with our series of cooking and baking classes.

Kids Magical Adventure on April 5-8 and on May 3-6, Tuesday to Friday, 9am-1pm will capture every child’s fancy. Learn how to make your favorite circus fare with ‘Circus Manila,’ or join one of our Disney-themed workshops. We have a whole class inspired by the hit movie ‘Inside Out,’ while ‘Disneyland Adventure’ brings touches of theme park rides and attractions. Class fee is P6,000.

Young Foodie Hangout will keep you up to speed with the latest trends. ‘Instagrammables’ teaches you how to turn your culinary creations into Instagram-worthy posts. Teen chefs can hone their craft with ‘One-Two-Three Kitchen, where you can learn basic knife skills, proper vegetable cuts, basic sauces, and basic kitchen terminology.

Never miss out on another craving with “Eat In What You Eat Out,” where you can learn recipes inspired by famous fast food joints and restaurants so you can whip them up from your own kitchen. Dish out your own signature fried chicken, buffalo wings, and cold desserts. Class schedules are April 12-15 and May 10-13, Tuesday to Friday, 9am-1pm. Fee is P7,000.

We still have more classes lined up for the month of April. Healthy Breads is on April 2, Saturday, 9am-1pm with Hands-on and Group Workshop. Learn how to bake Whole Wheat Sesame Bread, Kalabasa Loaf, Malunggay Loaf, Sourdough Bread, and Foccacia. Fee is P1,499.

Basic Culinary runs from April 19-22, Tuesday to Friday, 9am-3pm. Fee is P8,000.

Juicing and Healthy Wraps on April 23, Saturday, 9-12nn is a demo class that shows you how to juice your way to a better you and how to transform standard sandwiches into healthy wraps. Recipes include Simple Starter Detox Drink, Sooper Dooper Detox Greens, Power Booster Juice, Vegetable Wrap in Avocado Caesar Dressing, Grilled Chicken and Veggie Wrapped in Tofu Dressing, and Healthy Vietnamese Wrap. Fee is P750.

Bars and Cookies is on April 23, Saturday, 9am-1pm with Hands-on and Group Workshop. Got a sweet tooth? Learn to prepare Oatmeal Raisin Cookies, Snickerdoodles, Food for the Gods, Coconut Fantasy Bars, and Butterscotch Brownies. Fee is P1,499.

Basic Baking is on April 26-29, 9am-2pm. Fee is P7,000.

Donuts Class is on April 30, Saturday, 9am-1pm with Hands on and Group Workshop. Learn to bake Jelly-Filled Donuts, Glazed Donuts, Donut Balls, Cream-Filled Donuts, and Bicho-Bicho. Fee isP1,199.
