INGREDIENT

2 packs MAYA Decadence FudgeBrownie Mix 500g
(prepare as per package direction)

Royal Icing:

900 grams powdered sugar
4 pieces egg whites
½ teaspoon cream of tartar
ready made ginger house patterns
big and small colored marshmallows, as needed
big and small colored sugar coated candies, as needed
green candy sprinkles (for grass effect)
rainbow lollipops

PROCEDURE

Preheat oven to 350°F/ 177°C.  Grease and line 2 jelly roll pans. Set aside. Prepare brownies as per package directions but bake in a jelly roll pan instead of 8×8 inch square pan. Try to smoothen the top of brownie before baking. Bake for 30-40 minutes. Cool. Set aside.

Prepare Royal Icing: Beat all ingredients together at low speed for 7 to 10 minutes. Cover the royal icing when not in use to prevent from drying.

To Assemble: Ready your own ginger bread house patterns. Lay the pattern pieceson top of cooled brownie and use a knife to trim off any excess parts from the pattern. Set aside.

Pick a solid base for ginger house. It can be a cardboard covered with aluminum foil or a ready made cake base.

Pipe a thick line of icing along the edges of one of the cut brownies, either the front or the back side piece of the house to attach them together. Then, hold it in place until it dries up. Pipe icing along the edges of brownies where it meets the base. Do the same thing with the rest of the base for the structure of the house. Pipe icing along the seams and the inside and outside of the house to fill in any gaps and to add stability to the ginger brownie house. Let stand for an hour before adding the roof pieces to be sure that the base or structure is firm and can hold the roof pieces.

Pipe icing along the top edges of the structure to properly attach the roof together. Make sure that the two roofs meet easily at the top center. Gently hold the roof in place for a few minutes to prevent them from sliding. Once it dries up, pipe icing on the top seam of the house. Let it stand for about 5 hours to completely dry the icing in the structure of the ginger bread house.

Decorate your ginger brownie house as you like using royal icing, colored marshmallows, colored sugar coated candies, green candy sprinkles, and rainbow lollipops.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row]
