Cherry Fudge Brownies

INGREDIENTS

1 pack MAYA Fudge Brownie Mix 500g
2 whole eggs

1/2 cup butter
2 tablespoons water

30 grams chopped walnuts (topping)

Filling:
1 cup cream cheese, softened
1/4 cup granulated sugar
1 whole egg
2 tablespoons cherry juice
6 pieces cherries, quartered

 

 

PROCEDURE

Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. Grease and line one 9 x 9–inch square pan. Set aside. Cream together cream cheese, sugar, until fluffy. Add eggs and cherry juice. Stir to blend. Fold in cherries. Set aside.

Prepare MAYA Fudge Brownie Mix as per package directions. Spread half of brownie batter on pan. Layer cream cheese–cherry filling on top of brownie batter. Spread remaining batter. Gently swirl through batter with knife for marble shape effects. Sprinkle walnuts or topping. Bake for 30–45 minutes or until done. Cool. If desired decorate with different toppings (marshmallow, chocolate glaze, etc.). Cut into square or bars.
